Beaches in Costa Blanca

Costa Blanca's fine bleached sands have long been famed throughout Europe. Despite their popularity, a staggering 48 beaches in Costa Blanca that have been awarded the celebrated Blue Flag by the European Union. Amazing. This is only achieved because the coastal communities of Costa Blanca take bride in their bounty of beaches and work to keep them in pristine condition. Besides the big name beaches, there are also countless sections of sand and quiet coves dotting the Costa Blanca that offer sunning and swimming in secluded environments.

Mobility

The Costa Blanca is also proving to be a worldwide leader in making its beaches accessible to those with reduced mobility. There are now unique amphibious crutches and amphibious wheelchairs on almost two dozen of its beaches. Many more feature wooden walkways along the beach and qualified personnel to allow access for all.

Children

Most beaches (and almost all Blue Flag beaches) are very accessible and safe for children. The seabed gradients are typically shallow, so kids can't get into deep water too quickly, and there are lifeguards on duty throughout the day so the wee ones can frolic in the surf in safety. There are also excellent play areas for the kids and beach markers, so that children can always see where their beloved parents are.
